Safety and Security

• Shut down open air drug markets on 47th St., 51st St., and at the former Ickes housing development

• Created active partnerships between resident groups, Police, and the Third Ward Office

• Worked with the Department of Buildings and Chicago Police to demolish over 30 of the most problematic vacant and abandoned buildings in the Ward

• Notifies owners of non-compliant vacant lots to get their lots cleaned and fenced

• Hosted several safety seminars and along with staff members, attends 3rd Ward CAPS meetings
